The apartment I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for an old town location. The stone walls keep things cool even in summer heat, and there’s this nice balance between modern amenities and traditional Croatian touches. The kitchen is actually functional — not just a mini-fridge and hot plate situation — so you can pick up ingredients from the local market and cook if you want. The bathroom was updated but kept the character of the building, and honestly, the water pressure was better than some five-star places I’ve been to. The bed was comfortable too, which matters more than people think when you’re doing a lot of walking around Šibenik’s hilly streets.

There’s reliable WiFi, which isn’t always a given in these old stone buildings, and they’ve managed to add air conditioning without ruining the historical feel. I appreciated that they gave me local recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. They pointed me toward this little konoba where locals actually eat, and suggested the best time to visit Krka National Park to avoid the crowds.
