When I first pulled up to Apartment Mr Bellina, honestly, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this four-star property tucked away in the quiet village of Bilice. But you know what? Here’s the thing about staying in Bilice instead of directly in Šibenik — you get the best of both worlds. I mean, you’re literally just a few minutes’ drive from Šibenik’s stunning old town and those incredible waterfalls everyone raves about, but you’re also experiencing authentic Croatian village life. The location has this peaceful, almost timeless quality that couples absolutely love (apparently they rate it 9.5, and I totally get why). You can actually hear the birds in the morning instead of traffic, which is pretty refreshing.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment itself surprised me with how thoughtfully it’s set up. You’ve got a proper kitchen that’s actually functional — not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes where you can barely make coffee. The room feels spacious and airy, with windows that let in this gorgeous Croatian light. What I really appreciated was how clean everything was, and the little touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. The Wi-Fi works perfectly (always a concern when you’re staying outside the main city), and there’s this sense that you’re staying in someone’s carefully maintained home rather than a generic hotel.

Local Discoveries

One of my favorite discoveries was just how easy it is to explore from here. Šibenik’s cathedral and those narrow stone streets are close enough for evening strolls, but you can also easily reach some of the less crowded beaches along the coast. The host actually gave me some insider tips about local spots that I never would have found on my own — there’s this little family-run restaurant about ten minutes away that serves the most incredible fresh fish. It’s exactly the kind of authentic experience you miss when you stick to the main tourist areas.

  Von Beginn an ein perfekter Aufenthalt – wir wurden herzlich empfangen, tolle Ausstattung. Super Lage für Besuche von Šibenik und des Nationalparks Krka. Und vor Ort gibt es auch Einiges zu sehen und zu erleben. Gleichzeitig ist es aber auch sehr ruhig und man kann sich einfach wohlfühlen.

  Very beautiful, neat, very clean, and very new. Did not stay long enough to try out the grill and garden kitchen, but it looked perfect, with super garden and terace , all you need for the family of four. Perfect place to explore Krka nature park, Sibenik and surrounding. Good for the bike trips, good bike trails. Bird watching too.
  
  What could be improved: Could not find it at first, but it is so well placed in the surrounding we did not even notice it at first glance. Everything was really perfect!

  The apartment is fully renovated, modern, and furnished with a great deal of taste. Lovely terrace for breakfast and cozy lounge in the garden for evening. Quiet place to rest and recharge. Many interesting sites are close by, 15 -20 min drive.
