Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you. This three-star property sits quietly on Šibenske Brigade street, and there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. The building has that clean, modern Croatian coastal style, and I immediately noticed how easy it was to find parking right on site — which, if you’ve ever driven around Šibenik in summer, you’ll know is basically gold.

Here’s where Apartments Tanya really delivers — each apartment feels like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. The one I stayed in had this bright, airy feel with white walls and pops of blue that reminded me of the Adriatic just a short walk away. The kitchen was actually functional (not just for show), with a proper-sized fridge and everything you’d need to make breakfast or store those Croatian wines you’ll inevitably buy. I mean, when you’re staying for more than a night or two, having that extra space makes all the difference.

Location That Actually Matters

Okay, so everyone talks about location, but let me tell you why this one works. You’re close enough to Šibenik’s old town that you can walk there in about ten minutes, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds right outside your window. The neighborhood feels residential and safe — I saw locals walking their dogs in the evenings, kids playing in nearby yards. It’s that authentic Croatian life that you don’t always get when you’re staying right in the historic center.

The staff here — well, they’re not trying to be your best friend, but they’re genuinely helpful when you need something. Tanya herself (yes, there’s actually a Tanya) gave me solid recommendations for where to eat that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. The apartments are kept spotless, and honestly, the air conditioning works better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at along the coast. There’s free WiFi that actually reaches decent speeds, which matters if you’re trying to upload those Krka waterfalls photos.

Look, this place has a 9.5 rating for a reason, and it’s not because they’re doing anything flashy. It’s because they nail the basics really well. Couples seem to particularly love it here — and I get why. There’s something romantic about having your own little Croatian hideaway where you can cook dinner together, then walk hand-in-hand to the old town for evening drinks. The value is exceptional too; you’re getting apartment-style space and amenities for what you’d pay for a basic hotel room elsewhere. Plus, that free parking I mentioned? In a coastal Croatian town, that alone probably saves you 15-20 euros a day.

  We highly recommend apartment Tanya. Tanya is such a warm, welcoming and thoughtful host. The apartment is beautiful, modern and Tanya has thought of absolutely everything you could need to feel at home. Our four children loved it too.
  In the morning Tanya even dropped up beautiful homemade doughnuts and figs.
  We visited a fab pizzeria four minutes away called Konoba Pizzeria Vuki, lovely owner, very reasonable prices and gorgeous food. There wasn't a sign on the front but easy to find on sat nav. Rak winery is a two minute walk from it and our friends highly recommend it. We also went to a lovely kids centre four minutes away called klub Koran. There are pony rides, trampolines, outdoor soccer etc and very friendly owners. Our kids aged 7 to 13 loved it.
  Book apt Tanya, you won't regret it! It's gorgeous!

  I highly recommend Tanya's apartments for anyone who wants to visit Sibernik / Krka National Park, both being not more than 15 minutes’ drive. The apartment is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and well equipped. Tanya is a very generous and efficient host, responding to emails and SMS promptly providing us with details of how to arrive and local information.

  Excelent communication and huge parking spot. Very comfortable and clean. Big balcony perfect for relaxing evening or breakfast time. Short ride from beach. Quite well equiped kitchen. Washing machine between floor levels. Good wifi. Plenty of space for kids to be free.
