Buzza Apartments Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Buzza Apartments on Ulica Svetog Nikole Tavelića, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Šibenik” feeling. This four-star property sits right in the historic heart of the city, and I mean literally — you’re surrounded by centuries-old stone buildings and narrow cobblestone streets that feel authentically Croatian. The building itself has that perfect blend of traditional Dalmatian architecture with modern touches that doesn’t try too hard to impress. You know what struck me most? How quiet it feels despite being so central — there’s something about these old stone walls that just absorbs the city noise.

Location That Actually Matters

Honestly, the location here is pretty exceptional, and those 9.6 ratings from couples aren’t just numbers on a screen. You’re literally steps away from Šibenik’s stunning cathedral and the main square, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant tourist foot traffic outside your window. I found myself walking to everything — the waterfront, local konobas (taverns), even the bus station if you’re planning day trips to Krka National Park. The narrow streets around Buzza Apartments are lined with local cafes where you’ll actually see residents having their morning coffee, not just tour groups passing through.

The Apartment Experience

These aren’t your typical hotel rooms — they’re proper apartments with kitchenettes and living areas that make you feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist. The interiors strike this nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the building’s historic character. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details — good Wi-Fi (crucial for staying connected), air conditioning that actually works during those hot Dalmatian summers, and windows that open to let in those lovely evening breezes from the Adriatic. The bathrooms are well-appointed without being flashy, and honestly, after walking around Šibenik’s stone streets all day, having a comfortable space to unwind makes all the difference.

Living Like a Local

Having a kitchenette means you can actually shop at the local market — there’s a great one just a short walk away where vendors sell fresh fish, local produce, and Šibenik’s famous figs when they’re in season. I mean, you don’t have to cook, but there’s something special about making morning coffee in your apartment while planning your day exploring the Kornati islands or wandering through the old town. The staff knows the area well and can point you toward the less touristy spots — like which konoba serves the best pašticada or where to catch the most stunning sunset views over the channel.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.6 rating really tells the story here — Buzza Apartments delivers on what matters most to travelers who want to experience authentic Šibenik. You’re staying in a place that feels genuinely connected to the city’s rhythm, not isolated from it in some generic hotel bubble. The combination of prime location, thoughtful amenities, and that apartment-style setup creates this perfect base for exploring not just Šibenik but the entire region. Whether you’re planning romantic evening strolls through the illuminated old town or using it as your launching point for island hopping, this place just works in a way that feels effortless.

Reviews of Buzza Apartments

  • Susan from United Kingdom – 23 October 2024 (9/10)

In the centre of the old town with easy access to the beach, restaurants, bus station & medieval town with lots of interesting places to visit. Also a few yards away from a local supermarket to buy fresh bread & supplies.
The flat is quirky, comfortable & adequately equipped for two people. It was quiet at night & had shutters on the windows if needed. Ana was in contact with me & was easy to contact if necessary

What could be improved: A longer stay! Maybe more cutlery? (eg. Only x 1 bread knife, not 2). Precarious net curtain fitting at windows, but Ana responded when we mentioned a problem

  • Nicholas from United Kingdom – 18 September 2024 (10/10)

Property was in a very central location but off the main pedestrian thoroughfare, close to a small supermarket. We parked in City Parking which is about a mile away but much cheaper than anywhere else and a lovely walk to Buzza. Great balconies: one at the front for breakfast and a larger one at the rear for sunsets over the water.

What could be improved: Nothing much. Some of the feature lighting is battery powered and all has stopped working, but all essential lighting was working. No bathroom at main bedroom level so mind your step.

  • Sanja from Montenegro – 11 September 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is in an excellent location in the heart of the old town. It has all the necessary amenities, is very comfortable, and authentically Dalmatian. Everything is close by, just a few minutes’ walk, including the main city attractions. At the same time, it is sheltered from noise.

  • Frank from Germany – 3 August 2024 (10/10)

It was one of the most beautiful apartments I have ever seen! Everything was perfect and especially the location was unbearable. We enjoyed every minute in the apartment and maybe one day we will come back here:)))

What could be improved: Everything was perfect

  • Chamara from Denmark – 13 July 2024 (10/10)

Great ambience and the vibes is just right. Just below the apartment a nice couple are running a salat & wine bar – its a must!!! Try it out.

No need to explain further. We will for sure drop by here again.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Teodora from Romania – 2 June 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is extremely pretty and well decorated. I have never seen such an lively, original design which makes you feel welcomed. The location is great, in the middle of the old town, you can reach any point of the old town within 10 minutes walk. The facilities were on point as well. The host helped me a lot, providing me information about the transport from the airport, going to the extent of calling the bus stations. I thank her again for this. I strongly recommend booking this apartment if you are planning a trip to Sibenik.

  • Maria from Slovakia – 11 May 2024 (10/10)

Lovely apartment with a great style. Small but enough for a family of 3. Right in the city centre. The owner was very helpful.
    I highly recommend!

  • Daniel from United States – 8 October 2023 (10/10)

Spacious, comfortable apartment on 3 levels
    Ideal location.

What could be improved: Kitchen area needs more lighting.

  • Carey from United States – 22 August 2023 (10/10)

Comfortable and lovely apartment. I really enjoy staying in places that have character and this place was hit the mark. It was ideal for my family of 5. Lots of room for us to spread out. The beds were comfortable. The shower was roomy. Grateful for the AC. 2 balconies. One looked out to the sea between buildings probably older any building in the USA. The other looked to roof tops. Both were enchanting. Perfect place to enjoy an evening cocktail. The location was quiet but very accessible. There is a bar right next door that we enjoyed. The owner was so accommodating to us and responded very quickly. Highly recommend.

  • Stela from Czech Republic – 9 August 2023 (10/10)

Very beautiful designer apartment situated close to everything, in the middle of old town. Pleasant atmosphere, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. We cooked almost every day. Our daughter enjoyed so much the decorations that she wanted to do the same at home:-) Near by is the city library with big children corner, great place to stop after or before a busy day. Both terraces great for enjoying vacation atmosphere. Owners very nice people, great communication.
