You can walk to the Cathedral of St. James in about three minutes, and the old town’s narrow stone streets are right at your doorstep. What I really appreciated was being able to grab morning coffee at one of the harbor cafés, then circle back to the room if I forgot something — no taxi rides or long walks required. The ferry connections to the Kornati Islands are also super accessible from here, which is huge if you’re planning day trips.

The Rooms

The accommodations are straightforward but well-thought-out — modern furnishings, good air conditioning (trust me, you’ll need it in summer), and windows that actually open to let in that Adriatic breeze. The bathrooms are compact but functional, and everything feels recently renovated. You know what impressed me most? The soundproofing is surprisingly good for a building in such a central spot — I expected more street noise but slept well throughout my stay.

Breakfast and Service

The breakfast spread covers all the basics with continental, Italian, and vegetarian options — nothing fancy, but the local pastries and strong Croatian coffee definitely hit the spot. The staff really does respond quickly to questions, which became obvious when I needed recommendations for dinner spots. They pointed me toward a family-run konoba just a few streets back from the waterfront that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in Croatia.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it nails the fundamentals without any pretense. You’re paying for an excellent location and reliable comfort, not bells and whistles you probably won’t use anyway. The 9.1 rating reflects exactly what you get — a solid base for exploring Šibenik’s medieval charm and the surrounding Dalmatian coast. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about being able to stroll the illuminated cathedral square at night, then be back in your room within minutes.

  This property is absolutely gorgeous. Our room, while small, was more than adequate for our stay and we regret not booking two nights. We were very fortunate to be at street level in a very well secured old building. We even had our own out door courtyard. Being at street level in an old three or four story building also meant that, in spite of it being 35 degrees outside, we were quite comfortable inside and barely needed to use the air conditioner. The room and bathroom were both spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Our host were communicating with us via WhatsApp to make sure our stay was just right and they could not have done more to make us very welcome and comfortable.
