Hostel Sv. Lovre Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hostel Sv. Lovre on Andrije Kacica Miosica street, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something special. This three-star property sits right in the beating heart of Šibenik, and I mean literally — you’re steps away from everything that matters in this gorgeous Dalmatian town. The building itself has that authentic Croatian charm without trying too hard, and honestly, the location alone makes this place worth considering.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying here — you can roll out of bed and be at Šibenik’s stunning cathedral in about two minutes. The narrow stone streets of the old town spread out right from your doorstep, which means you’re not dealing with any of that tourist shuttle nonsense. Couples absolutely rave about this spot (they’ve given it a 9.9 rating for romantic getaways), and I totally get why. You know what’s really nice? You can grab morning coffee at one of the local cafés and watch the city wake up, then spend your evening wandering back through those medieval alleys after dinner.
The Accommodation
The room setup here is exactly what you’d expect from a well-run hostel — clean, functional, and surprisingly comfortable. I was actually impressed by how quiet it stays despite being in such a central location. The beds are solid, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What really works is that they’ve managed to keep that hostel vibe without sacrificing the basics that matter — good Wi-Fi, decent showers, and storage that actually makes sense.
Exploring from Here
This is where the location really shines. Šibenik’s famous St. James Cathedral is practically next door, and the fortress of St. Michael looms above you with those incredible views over the Adriatic. I mean, you’re also perfectly positioned for day trips to Krka National Park — those waterfalls are absolutely worth the short bus ride. The ferry connections to the Kornati Islands run from the harbor, which is an easy walk down the hill. Plus, if you need supplies or want to hit up a proper restaurant, everything’s within a few blocks.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.9 rating and that outstanding 9.5 location score, people clearly appreciate what this place offers. It’s not trying to be fancy — it’s just really good at being exactly what it is. The staff knows the area inside and out, so you’ll get solid recommendations that aren’t just the obvious tourist spots. For the price point, you’re getting incredible access to one of Croatia’s most underrated coastal gems, and honestly, that’s hard to beat. Whether you’re backpacking through the Balkans or just want a no-fuss base for exploring Dalmatia, this hostel delivers on the essentials while keeping you right where the action is.
Early hotels booking in Sibenik secures fortress concerts, Kornati yacht charters, and private island picnics.

Great stay in the old town of Sibenik – Tien from United Kingdom (9/10)
Room was spacious, bed is sturdy and very comfy, I had a very good sleep. The hostel looks basic but it doesn't matter for a short stay
Would definitely come back again when in Šibenik – Lucija from Croatia (9/10)
Definitely recommend the hostel firstly because of the vibes and then the location. It as extremely peaceful and quiet, but everyone was friendly, mindful and respectful of each other. The surrounding streets are also not noisy, and the view from the roof terrace is awesome. The hostel is close to every important sight in the city and everything is walking distance. Staff is wonderful. The beds are comfy & sturdy and there is enough locker space for all your stuff. The locks are actually working and I felt extremely safe leaving my personal things and staying in the hostel. The ratio of price and quality is also quite good. Definitely would recommend choosing it whenever visiting.

Great little hostel, perfectly located in the Old Town.
Has a kitchen/common area where you can meet other fellow travelers. The kitchen has an electric cooker, a fridge, pots and pans.
The bathroom/toilet is downstairs, and there was only one for all the rooms.Very good – Michaela from Czech Republic (8/10)
Really nice place to stay, very comfortable and suitable for solo travelers and also for a group of friends. The stuff is friendly and helpful, they even let me store my luggage before checking in, which I really appreciate.
