The UNESCO World Heritage Cathedral of St. James is just a few minutes on foot, and you’ll find yourself wandering those narrow stone streets whenever you want. What’s really telling is that couples consistently rate the location 9.5 out of 10, and I get why — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to dinner along the waterfront or grab morning coffee in one of those tiny local cafés.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything you actually need. You know what I appreciated most? The windows — they let in plenty of natural light, and depending on which side you’re on, you might catch glimpses of the old town’s terracotta rooftops. The beds are decent quality, and the bathroom is modern enough that you won’t be dealing with any unpleasant surprises.

Morning Fuel

Breakfast here actually surprised me in the best way. They’ve got options for pretty much everyone — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, plus the standard American-style offerings. I mean, finding good gluten-free options in smaller Croatian towns isn’t always a given, so that’s a nice touch. The spread isn’t enormous, but what they do have is fresh and well-prepared, which honestly matters more than having fifty mediocre choices.

The private parking situation is a real game-changer if you’re driving — anyone who’s tried to park in Šibenik’s old town will tell you that.
