The apartment itself surprised me with how thoughtfully laid out everything was. The bathroom is well-designed too, with good water pressure (always a concern in older Croatian buildings) and plenty of space to spread out your stuff.

What I really appreciated was how the place lets you settle into a natural rhythm. There’s no formal restaurant on site, but with that kitchen and the local konoba just down the street, you don’t really need one. Mornings, I’d grab fresh bread from the bakery around the corner and make coffee while planning the day. The staff — when you actually see them — are helpful without being hovering, which fits the whole independent vibe perfectly.
