San Lorenzo Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to San Lorenzo Apartments on Antuna Zoričića street, you immediately know you’ve hit the jackpot location-wise. I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that makes Šibenik special — the medieval streets, the UNESCO-listed cathedral, those charming stone squares where locals gather for evening coffee. This three-star property offers excellent value, and the location more than makes up for any fancy amenities you might miss. What really struck me about staying here is how you become part of the neighborhood rather than just a tourist passing through. The building itself has that authentic Croatian charm that you simply can’t replicate in modern hotels, with traditional stone architecture that blends seamlessly into the historic streetscape.
The Heart of Old Town
You’ll wake up to the sound of church bells and the gentle hum of locals starting their day — not traffic or construction noise. The apartment setup means you can grab fresh produce from the morning market (just a two-minute walk) and actually live like you belong here. Couples seem to get this place instinctively, which explains why they rate it so highly for romantic getaways. Each room feels lived-in rather than sterile, and the kitchen setup is genuinely useful — not one of those token kitchenettes with a broken coffee maker. The thoughtful touches throughout each unit show that the owners understand what travelers actually need for an extended stay in this beautiful coastal city.
Your Home Base
The apartments themselves are straightforward but well-maintained, with everything you actually need for a comfortable stay. I appreciated having space to spread out after long days exploring the Dalmatian coast, and the windows open wide to let in those lovely evening breezes from the Adriatic. The Cathedral of St. James is practically around the corner, and you can wander down to the waterfront in about five minutes. But what I really loved was discovering the little konoba tucked away in the alley behind the building, where locals go for the best peka in town. The traditional furnishings and local artwork create an atmosphere that feels authentically Croatian rather than generic tourist accommodation.
Exploring from Your Doorstep
Here’s what you need to know about the location — it’s basically perfect for exploring on foot. You know what? Forget the hotel restaurant recommendations — ask the neighbors where they eat, and you’ll stumble onto some incredible finds. The 9.2 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a solid, well-located base that lets Šibenik itself be the star. From here, you can easily explore the fortress of St. Michael, wander through the medieval streets, or take day trips to nearby Krka National Park without feeling rushed to get back to some distant hotel.
Why Guests Love It
The fact that it scores a perfect 10 for location tells you everything, really. You’re saving money on a simpler property but gaining something priceless — the chance to experience this beautiful Croatian town like you actually live there, even if it’s just for a few days. Plus, parking in old town Šibenik can be a nightmare, but they’ve sorted that out for you, which honestly removes one major travel headache. The combination of authentic local atmosphere, practical amenities, and unbeatable location creates exactly the kind of experience that keeps guests coming back year after year to this remarkable Dalmatian destination.

Reviews of San Lorenzo Apartments
Antonia from Croatia – 19 August 2024 (9/10)
Iskristili smo dobru prometnu povezanost grada s okolnim otocima i mjestima.
What could be improved: Apartman je bio odlican, bio bi savrsen da ima balkoncic, no nedostatak istoga vas dodatno potice da izadete van i uzivate u lijepom gradu.Roland from Slovakia – 4 August 2024 (10/10)

Very comfortable accomodation, close to the centre of old Sibenik, many great cafes and restaurants just nearby. On the other hand, appartrement is quiet at night. Air conditioned and fully equiped for family like ours (kids 7 and 11 years). Ana is very friendly host. We recommend.
