When I first walked into 9th Floor Apartment in Šibenik, honestly, the name doesn’t do it justice — this four-star place feels more like staying in someone’s incredibly well-appointed city pad than a typical hotel. You’re literally on the ninth floor (obviously), and the views over Croatia’s historic coastal gem are something else. The building itself is modern, which I actually appreciated after wandering through Šibenik’s ancient stone streets all day. The ninth-floor location provides stunning vistas that showcase the city’s architectural heritage.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about the location on Ulica Branitelja Domovinskog rata — you’re close enough to walk to the old town and that stunning cathedral, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your window. The parking situation is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving along the Croatian coast (and it’s free, which is rare). I mean, finding a spot in Šibenik’s old town is basically impossible, so having your own guaranteed space is worth its weight in gold. The proximity to major attractions makes this location ideal for exploring the region.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup really works well — you get that sense of living like a local rather than just passing through. The room I stayed in had this clean, contemporary feel without being sterile, and the kitchen was actually functional (not just for show like some places). What struck me most was how thoughtfully everything was arranged — you know when someone has actually lived in a space versus just decorated it? This felt lived-in, in the best possible way. Every detail reflects careful consideration for guest comfort and convenience.

The Šibenik Experience

From up here, you really get a sense of how Šibenik works as a city — the way the medieval core spreads out toward the water, with the fortress looming over everything. Mornings were my favorite time, actually, watching the city wake up with coffee in hand. The cathedral bells become your alarm clock, which sounds annoying but is actually pretty charming. You’re also perfectly positioned for day trips to Krka National Park or the Kornati Islands, though honestly, Šibenik itself kept me busy longer than I expected. The elevated perspective offers unique insights into the city’s layout and character.

  Szépen berendezett, jól felszerelt és kényelmes lakótelepi toronyházi lakás az óváros parti sétányától 15-20 perc sétára. A strandok inkább autóval esetleg busszal elérhetők, de az erkélyről szép a kilátás. Az épületben lakik a tulajdonos édesapja is, így rugalmassal lehet átvenni a kulcsokat.
  Nice furnished, well-equipped, and comfortable apartment in a high-rise building in a residential area, located a 15-20 minute walk from the Old Town riverside promenade. The beaches are more easily accessible by car or bus, but the balcony offers a beautiful view. The owner's father also lives in the building, so the keys can be handed over flexibly. An excellent offer for autumn city breaks or business trips.
  
  What could be improved: Soklakásos épület két lifttel. Mivel nagy a forgalom, eltelik némi idő mire feljut az ember.
  The building is a multi-unit residential complex equipped with two elevators. However, given the high volume of people using them, there can be a considerable wait time to reach your desired floor.

  Apartament wyposażony we wszystkie udogodnienia. Ładny widok z 9 piętra. Dwie windy. Mieszkanie przestronne, nowocześnie urządzone z dobrą klimatyzacją. Do starego miasta i na plażę jeździliśmy samochodem bo dla nas było trochę za daleko. W pobliżu piekarnia i market Tommy. Parking osiedlowy ogólnodostępny. Polecamy.

  Bardzo ładne mieszkanie. Wyposażone we wszystko co potrzebne. Bardzo czysto i pachnąco. Właściciel uprzejmy i bezproblemowy.
  Blisko sklep i piekarnia. Klima działa super. Łóżka wygodne…czego chcieć więcej?
  Miasto Szybiebik jest przepiękne i polecam szczególnie wieczorami. Dzień spędzaliśmy na plaży miejskiej Banj gdzie jest duży parking ale i można dojechać łatwo Boltem.
  
  What could be improved: Pod blokiem lepiej znaleźć miejsce parkingowe przed wieczorem bo później może być ciężko.

  Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem lokalu. Mieszkanie czyste, przestronne z pięknym widokiem na marinę. Wyposażenie bez zastrzeżeń, jest wszystko co niezbędne. Odległość do centrum miasta lub do najbliższej plaży nie była dla nas problemem – mieliśmy auto, korzystaliśmy również z usług ubera, który w Szybenik funkcjonuje bardzo dobrze. Polecam w 100%.
