The shaded parking spot was actually a godsend during my summer visit, and seeing that barbecue setup immediately got me thinking about evening grills with local seafood from the nearby markets.

Mikulandre 43 sits in a residential area that feels authentically Croatian — you know, the kind of neighborhood where locals actually live rather than just tourist zones. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Šibenik’s old town, which means you can easily explore those stunning medieval streets and the famous Cathedral of St. James without dealing with the noise and crowds right outside your door. The location gets an 8.6 rating from recent guests, and I can see why — you’re close enough to everything but still have that peaceful, lived-in neighborhood vibe.

The Space Itself

The apartment genuinely lives up to its “spacious” billing, especially if you’re used to cramped European accommodations. There’s enough room for a family to spread out without stepping on each other, and the kitchen is actually functional — not just a tiny corner with a hot plate. I mean, you can cook real meals here if you want to save some money or just enjoy preparing fresh ingredients from Šibenik’s markets. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel experience.

The Barbecue Experience

Here’s what makes this place special — that barbecue house isn’t just a marketing gimmick. It’s a proper outdoor cooking area where you can actually grill dinner while enjoying the evening breeze. During my stay, I picked up some fresh fish and local vegetables, and honestly, some of my best meals were the ones I cooked myself out there. There’s something really satisfying about preparing your own food after a day of sightseeing, especially when you can do it in such a relaxed setting.

Why Guests Love It

The 8.0 overall rating makes sense once you understand what this place is about — it’s not trying to be a resort, but it excels at being a comfortable home base for exploring the region. Couples particularly seem to appreciate the privacy and the chance to have their own space rather than being stuck in a standard hotel room. The free private parking is genuinely valuable in Croatia, where finding a safe spot for your car can be a real headache in tourist areas. You get independence, space, and that authentic neighborhood feel that makes you feel like you’re actually experiencing how locals live, not just passing through as a tourist.

  Die Gegend ist wunderbar ruhig. Gelegen in einer kleinen Seitenstraße kann man super gut entspannen. Die Gastgeber sind super nett. Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Abende mit ihnen verbracht und es war eine tolle Atmosphäre mit vielen tollen Gesprächen, viel lachen. Die Inhaber sind wunderbare Menschen und tolle Gastgeber. Es wird Rücksicht auf einen genommen und der eigene Urlaub steht an erster Stelle. Noch einmal ein ganz großes Dankeschön für diese tollen 10 Tage.
  
  Die Ferienunterkunft ist super ausgestattet, es gibt eine große Kühlgefrierkombi, einen Backofen, voll ausgestattete Küche, sowie zwei super bequeme Doppelbetten. Außerdem verfügt die Wohnung über ein Bügeleisen sowie eine Waschmaschine. Parkplätze sind vor der Tür ausreichend vorhanden.
  
  Jeder der einen Ort voller Party sucht ist hier falsch. Es ist ein Ort mitten im Grünen ( siehe Bild). Dies hat uns sehr gut gefallen
  
  Dies war sicherlich nicht unser letzter Besuch. Wir freuen uns jetzt schon und hoffen, im nächsten Jahr wieder kommen zu dürfen.

  Właściciel to mega fajny gość. Nie mówi po angielsku, ale bardzo sprawnie porusza się w tłumacz Google. Lokalizacja świetna, mała kameralna miejscowość z piękną plażą. Do większego miasta 10 min samochodem

  Sehr liebe Gastgeber, waren immer erreichbar! Das Apartment ist in einem kleinen Dorf, wir haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen. Der Strand war zu Fuß ca 10 Minuten entfernt und es gab genug Platz ☺️

  Izuzetno divni domaćini,krasan apartman, mirno mjesto, zaista odmor za dušu i tijelo.
  Lagana šetnjica do plaže(5 min.) i svi sadržaji dostupni u blizini.

  Mieszkanie było przestronne , dobrze wyposażone i położone w sielskiej wiejskiej okolicy . Zza okien dochodził kojący śpiew ptaków – idealne miejsce na wyciszenie i odpoczynek . Sklep i restauracje w zasięgu 10 min. spaceru , plaża i przystań jachtowa – 15 min. Gospodarze są bardzo troskliwi i pomocni – oferowali pomoc w transferze , pożyczenie roweru i przywitali nas serdecznie lokalnymi trunkami i domowymi pączkami .
  Osobiście czułam się , jak na wakacjach u babci .
  Dodatkową zaletą jest bliskość rewelacyjnego Parku Narodowego Krka – my wybraliśmy się do niego pieszo poprzez pełne ziół pola i ukryte przed okiem ludzkim doliny . Do Szybenika dojechaliśmy autobusem z przystanku koło domu .
  Jestem zadowolona , że nie mieszkaliśmy w ścisłym centrum , gdzie rozgrzane kamienne budynki i chodniki buchają gorącem , tylko na przedmieściach schładzanych obecnością licznych drzew i krzewów oraz obszernych ogrodów .

  Wir haben zwei sehr schöne und erholsame Wochen verbracht. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Die Lage ist hervorragend für Ausflüge in die gesamte Region (Krka Nationalpark, Primosten, Zadar, Sibenik, Insel Murter, Kornaten). Toll war die unkomplizierte Weise unsere Hunde mitzubringen.
