The building itself has that perfect blend of historic Croatian stone architecture with modern touches that actually work together. You know how sometimes renovations can feel forced? Well, this isn’t one of those places.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable if you want to experience authentic Šibenik. You’re literally steps from the Cathedral of St. James (that UNESCO World Heritage site everyone talks about), and the narrow cobblestone streets branch out in every direction from your doorstep. What I love is that you can grab morning coffee at a local café, wander through the old town’s maze-like alleys, then be back at the hotel in minutes. The couples who stay here seem to get it — there’s something romantic about having this historic Croatian city as your backyard, especially when the evening light hits those ancient stone walls.

The Rooms

The rooms manage to feel both intimate and spacious, which is tricky in a historic building like this. You’ll find modern amenities without losing that old-world charm — think exposed stone details paired with contemporary furnishings that don’t try too hard. The bathrooms are well-designed (always a relief in older European properties), and the beds are actually comfortable, not just pretty to look at. Windows open onto either the bustling old town streets or quieter courtyards, depending on your room, but honestly both have their appeal.

Here’s where Villa Old Town really surprised me — they’ve got a hot tub that becomes this perfect retreat after a day of exploring Šibenik’s hills and historic sites. I mean, you wouldn’t expect it in a boutique property like this, but there it is. The whole place has this refined, upscale feel without being stuffy or pretentious. Staff actually seem to know the area well and can point you toward the best local restaurants (not just the touristy ones). The common areas invite you to linger, maybe plan your next day’s adventures or just decompress with a glass of Croatian wine.

  The Villa Old Tower has a spectacular view over the old town and the water. The living room with a large window is spectacular! It is easy to walk down into the Old Town, for example to St. James Cathedral (of course you have to walk back up too!)
  
  The bedrooms were comfortable, everything in the kitchen and bathrooms was clean and worked well. Our host, Sime, met us and explained everything. Unfortunately, we did not get time to use the sauna and jacuzzi, but they are a lovely addition.
  
  What could be improved: It would be very, very helpful to emphasize that it is impossible to bring a car to the property. The house is in a pedestrian zone. Also, at least in the crowded summer months, it is probably best to suggest that people park at the large Poljana parking or at the train station.

  The villa will surpass any holiday accommodation you will ever book.
  The quality of the furnishings, the finish how clean and crisp it all looked.
  The views from the top floor were to die for.
  This place had it all and everything was there ready for you we couldn’t think of a thing they had missed.
  And to add to that a sauna and jacuzzi in the basement

  What could be improved: It’s hard to put anything down.
  The villa was spotless and every creature comfort had been thought of and provided.
  The window overlooking the sea was magical, but why was there only 3 comfy chairs.
  And to say it was 2 bedroom 2 bathroom was a bit of a stretch.
  We wanted 2 bedrooms each with their own shower, as we were 2 couples travelling together. But the main bathroom had a shower and toilet
  The second shower was down in the basement with the jacuzzi & sauna, the second toilet up on the top floor.
  We managed at adapt but it wasn’t what we had expected.

  Beyond delight!!
  Me and my colleagues were on a bussines drive by in sibenik.
  Starting with our host Sime who optimized our day to the fullest.Its still beyond me how we managed to do so much in one day.
